Welcome to my personal blog – Stories from the Hippocampus!
I have been a stay-at-home-mummy for about 5.5 years, raising my active little boy. As he’s just turned 6 years old, and is on the cusp of another developmental rung on the ladder, I too have gone through some changes and one of those is my returning to work in 2019.
My original decision to write this blog was to offload and share my thoughts on what it was like being a stay-at-home-mummy whom had experienced both anxiety and depression after childbirth. I had decided to write this blog in order to share my personal experiences with depression, postnatal depression (also known as postpartum depression), anxiety and my foray into motherhood and what it can really be like at times. Then throw in other general musings and thoughts on life. My goal was to write weekly, but…that’s been harder to achieve than what I thought. So, my goal right now is to simply write whenever I can. Hopefully, keeping it up on a regular basis.
In this personal diatribe of sorts, you will find stories in various shades and chapters of my own personal take on things; giving myself some form of creative expression. I might even throw in a book review or two (once I find the time to read them!).
So thanks for dropping by and having a view here and there.
